PartyPoker Review

Thu 21 September 2017 PartyPoker Review

Partypoker.com is one of the most popular and well known poker sites around at present. Its popularity is down to plenty of advertising of mainstream programs along with many poker tournaments which have been televised. This has helped poker grow year on year in to what is now a multi million pound industry. Due to the popularity of the site, I thought I would pop on over and see what all the fuss was all about. To be honest I’ve seen better, but found it a good all round site.

The download

I headed on over to partypoker.com and downloaded the software; which is available for both PC and Mac. The download was easy very quick easy and painless. Setting up my account was also very quick easy and no trouble at all. I wasn’t forced to make a deposit in order to play on the play money tables, which allowed me to play about and see what they had to offer. In order to qualify for any bonus amounts though you will need to deposit a minimum amount, which at the time of writing is $10, which is a little over £5. See the site for full details.

The tables

My first impression of the tables is that there is a lot going on and to any newbie this could be quite daunting and maybe a bit overwhelming. There is plenty of help on the website though to aid you understand what is on offer and also assist you in understanding how to play poker. As with any new site I join up to I started out on the play money tables. Starting out on the play money tables is something I would recommend to even the more advanced poker players, it will help you get a good understanding of how the tables play and also what options you have available to you. You’re not going to get to know how to really play poker though until you put some of your own money on the table. My advice though is unless you have the best hand; don’t be tempted to go all in within the first few hands. Players known as lose players try this tactic in order to double up early on and then bully their way round the table. You will get that type of player on any poker site, so don’t let it scare you away from this site. The site is very easy to get around once you get used to it and I could quite easily come here time and time again.

Once problem I did encounter with this site though is that the software kept locking up, which I know wasn’t my machine, as all my other programs were running smoothly. I re-booted my machine and all seemed to run fine. I think it was just a glitch, as I have been playing on the real money tables and have not had any problems what so ever.

Bonus Amounts

As this is one of the most popular sites around then the bonus amounts don’t disappoint. One of the most generous bonus amounts around. As usual though, don’t expect the amount to be given to you in a lump sum right away, you will have to earn the bonus amounts by playing on the real money tables over a set period. See the site for full T&C.

My thoughts

I like this site a lot, while at the same time I find certain things annoying about it, but on the whole the site is a very good and easy to see why it is a market leader in poker gaming sites. The help section is by far one of the best I have seen around so far, they have all the normal text help files, but also have a poker school room, where you can play a few rounds of poker and there is an advisor that will tell you on a % level if your better of checking, folding or making a bet. The advisor isn’t always right though, but this just goes to show the betting element and risk element of playing poker. Most new poker players will make the mistake in calling all hands, just so that they can see the flop, which sometimes can be very rewarding, but long term in a came it is just throwing money away.

The site offers all the normal types of poker and poker tournaments no matter what kind of game you fancy. This is a very good site for beginners and well worth a look for even the more advanced players. Click on the link below and sign up today, remember that you will need to sign up with a minimum deposit in order to qualify for bonus amounts. At $30 only being around £15 why not treat yourself and sign up with $80, you know it is worth it and less than you would spend on a good night out.

Oh and Mac users can also use the software and play online to.
